What is UM/UIM?

What is Comprehensive/Collision?

Also known as physical damage, this coverage pays for damage to your vehicle regardless of fault. Comprehensive covers theft, vandalism and animal impact. Collision covers damage caused by impact with another vehicle or structure.

What limits do I need?

If you are quoting a 30/60/25 policy, it means $30,000 bodily injury per person, $60,000 bodily injury per accident and $25,000 for property damage per accident. Since bodily injury and property damage can often exceed those amounts, you' may choose higher limits such as 50/100/50 to be well covered, or 100/300/50 to be extremely well-covered. If you do not have adequate coverage in the event of an accident, the claimant may choose to recover any excess amounts not covered by your insurance directly from you.
